Welcome to ancient Timbuktu. In its day - the most advanced city in the world.

A world where human blood is everyday currency.

In Timbuktu, blood is earned and spent in the pursuit of goods, services and happiness. 

The blood is magical - the more you earn, the more powerful you become. 

And the 1% are powerful beyond your wildest dreams. 

Just like our world.

Some powerful people devise schemes to suck away the little money we earn.
We remain poor and in perpetual servitude. Ultimately: powerless and barely surviving. 

Imagine a fantasy show that not only entertains with inventive characters, magic and diverse settings, but most importantly - means something!

A show that tells the world why we who struggle aren't just 'stupid' or 'lazy' - that there is a larger problem with income inequality.

No matter how smart and hard we work, we will remain powerless and barely surviving because inequality is by design. Created through decades of precarious employment, precarious labor, wage theft, etc.

Popular media refuses to talk about income inequality in any kind of meaningful way.

I would like to change that, and I hope you do too.
